Active Aero (Z-Mode & X-Mode)
Cars now feature front and rear active aerodynamics that drivers adjust dynamically on track.
High Downforce
Front and rear wings open up to generate maximum grip for high-speed cornering.
Low Drag
Wings flatten out to reduce drag and increase top speed on straights.
The 50/50 Power Split
The complex MGU-H is gone. Power is an even split between the V6 Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and the electric motor (MGU-K).

Goodbye DRS, Hello Override
DRS is gone. Drag Reduction System flaps are no longer used for overtaking.
Manual Override Mode gives the trailing car extra electrical deployment (up to 350kW) to help them overtake the leading car, which tapers off after 290km/h.

Penalties & Crucial Rules
Time Penalties
Commonly 5-second or 10-second penalties
awarded for forcing another driver off track, causing a collision, or track limit violations.
These are served at the next pit stop, or added to the driver's final race time.
Track Limits
Drivers must keep at least one wheel within the white lines. Multiple
violations during a race result in a black & white warning flag, followed by a 5-second time
penalty.
Parc Fermé
Once a car enters Qualifying, it is under Parc Fermé conditions. Teams
cannot make major setup changes. Breaking Parc Fermé usually results in a pit-lane start.
Grid Penalties
Awarded for severe driving infractions in prior sessions, or for changing
power unit/gearbox components beyond the seasonal allocation. Usually applied as a 3, 5, or
10-place drop on the starting grid.
